How to Order an Alps Report

For most Alps reports you do not need to pre-register with us – you can simply submit your data on or after Results Day. The exceptions to this are KS5 Consortium reports and KS5 Monitoring reports. To discuss either of these please contact us directly. For all other reports, the information on this page should enable you to submit your data and to order your reports.

Full information on submitting your data is available in our user guides.

You will need to send your data directly to Alps. This applies even if your reports are supplied under a group contract, for example through your local authority. We ask that you use our Alps Data Collection Software (ADCS) to prepare your data for submission.

The five steps are:

  • Download and install the correct version (either Key Stage 4 or Key Stage 5) of ADCS
  • Import your data from your Management Information System into ADCS
  • Use the software to match your subjects to the subjects in the Alps database
  • Use ADCS to check your data is correct and create a data file
  • Upload your data file securely via the myAlps portal

It is always best to use your school or college’s myAlps account. If you are not able to do this it is still possible to use our ‘unregistered upload’ service, which offers the same level of security.

Please do not email your data file to Alps.

You should always check that you are using the latest version of ADCS. You can check if you have the latest version using the ‘check for updates’ option within the software. You can download the latest version here.

Once your data is prepared you can submit your file through our myAlps online portal. If you have not used myAlps before please see the myAlps overview page here for more information.

Please note that you only need to submit one Key Stage 5 data file to Alps, even if requesting multiple reports. You can select which reports you require when completing the data submission via myAlps. Key Stage 4 data will need to be submitted separately.

It is really important that your data file contains no errors, as this will affect the accuracy of your report and may increase the processing time. ADCS has an error checking function which we strongly recommended that you use.

You will be invoiced for your reports once they have been processed, unless your reports are being paid for under a local authority or group contract. We will be writing separately to those schools included in contracts with more details. For more information on paying for your Alps reports please visit our prices page.

If you encounter any difficulties or require any assistance with any stage of your submission please contact our office.
